Alex D. Garcia Obituary (2022)

Alex “Stony” Garcia was born on March 20, 1973. Alex was born and raised in Waukegan, IL. Alex worked with Local Union 21 since 2008, where he was committed to working hard to provide for his loving family. On May 2, 2022, he entered into eternal rest. Alex was an exceptional and loving family man that devoted his time and energy to his family and friends that he treasured as family. He willingly invested in his community and coached for the Waukegan Junior Bulldogs. Alex was a loving husband, father, coach, friend, neighbor and all-around person. Alex is preceded in death by his brother, Mingo Garcia. Alex leaves to honor his life his beloved wife, his love and his best friend Denice and his most treasured gifts, his children, Luis, Angel, Rafael, Alyssa, and Olivia. He leaves behind an extended family and countless friends that will forever celebrate and remember him. There are not enough words to describe how deeply loved Alex is loved and how much he will be missed. He touched so many lives in such a wonderful way. He is forever with us. His visitation will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2022 from 4:00-9:00 pm at The Memorial Chapel of Waukegan, 1521 Washington Street, Waukegan, IL 60085. Mass will be held on Friday, May 6, 2022 at 11:00 am at Holy Family Church, 450 Keller Avenue, Waukegan, IL 60085. Interment will follow at Ascension Catholic Cemetery, 1920 Buckley Road, Libertyville, IL, 60048.
