Cesar Juan Ruiz Lagunas

Cesar Juan Ruiz Lagunas , age 41, of Hammond, Indiana unexpectedly passed away on June 6th, 2026.

Cesar was born on November 23rd, 1984, in Libertyville, Illinois to his parents Maria and Juan.

He enjoyed many things in life, including his love for the game of basketball, his family, friends, and his beloved only son, C.J. -his pride and joy. He had also found great interest and talent with working on cars and had dedicated his life as a mechanic.

Cesar is survived by his son, Cesar Juan Lagunas Jr; Mother, Maria Lagunas; Father, Juan Ruiz; Siblings, Luis Ruiz, Araceli Ruiz, Sandra Ruiz and Alex Ruiz; nieces Jaselyn, Emily, Madyson, Melanie, Ava, Kamila; nephew, Anthony; Great nephew, Preston.

Cesar was loved deeply, his celebration of life will be held on Saturday June 20th, 2026, visitation will begin 9:00 am at The Memorial Chapel of Waukegan, 1521 Washington Street, Waukegan, IL 60085, with a prayer service at 10:30 am at the funeral home as well. Interment will follow at Ascension Catholic Cemetery, 1920 Buckley Road, Libertyville, IL 60048.
