Hector Manuel Laracuente Sr. Obituary (2021)

Hector Manuel Laracuente, Sr., 67, of Waukegan, passed away on September 4, 2021 at his home. He was born April 21, 1953 in Maricao, Puerto Rico and was a long time resident of Waukegan. Hector worked as a mechanic and automotive technician for many years and was a member of Chicago Wiseguys. He was a wonderful father, the patriarch of Laracuente family. He had the purest heart and a clever sense of humor. He had such a joyful, vibrant spirit that would lighten up everyone's day. Hector will be dearly missed by both family and countless friends which he met throughout his life. He is survived by his children, Hector M. Laracuente, Jr. (Nicole Carter), Miguel Laracuente, Carlos Laracuente, Sr. (Hailey Cook), David Laracuente (Daisy Guzman), Bridget Jacqueline Laracuente, Mack Allen Thompson, Binder Alexander Rojas, Luke Bartusiak; grandchildren, Tabitha Laracuente, Emily Nicke Laracuente, Jessie Laracuente, Daniel Laracuente, Carolina Ramona Laracuente, Carlos Laracuente Jr., Brandon Christian (Bridget), Hector Ignacio Laracuente; great grandchildren, Journee and Harlo Turner and former wives, Mary Ellen Thompson and Vilma Noemi Caceres. Hector is preceded in death by his mother, Ramona Laracuente and dearest aunt, Mary Laracuente. Hector’s visitation will be held, on Friday, September 10, 2021 from 4:00pm-8:00pm at The Memorial Chapel of Waukegan, 1521 Washington Street, Waukegan, IL, 60085. His funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 10:00am-12:00pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Ascension Catholic Cemetery, 1920 Buckley Road, Libertyville, IL, 60048.
