Juan G. Perez

–

Park City, Illinois

Juan G. Perez, age 53, of Park City, Illinois passed away peacefully in his home on January 29, 2026.

Juan was born December 23, 1972, in Moroleon, Guanajuato, Mexico to Eduardo and Rosa Perez.

Juan is survived by his father Eduardo Perez, Sr; brother Miguel Perez, niece Kylie; sister Sonia Hernandez, husband Jesse, niece Samantha, nephew Patrick; brother Eduardo Perez Jr, wife Ericka, niece Angelina, nephew Bryton; sister Griselda Barajas, husband Jose, nieces Lorelli, Arianna, nephew Jovanni; and sister Denise Pizano, husband Tony, nephew Anthony. He was preceded in death by his loving mother Rosa Perez; his grandparents Luz, Jose, Esperanza, Rafael; his aunts Trini, Josefina, Aurora, Belen; his uncles Dudley, Baltazar, Hector, Humberto; cousins Marcy and Sammy.

Juan or as most called him “Gabe” or “Juanito”, was a smart guy that loved gadgets and was the family’s handy man that could fix just about anything. He repaired our computers, tv’s, light fixtures, refrigerators and any other electronics that were broken. He had the patience to figure out the problem and fix it; that was his passion from a very young age. He worked as a computer technician and computer engineer and was known for his intelligence, and problem-solving skills. Juan moved to Minnesota in 2024 in pursuit of a dream job where he was hired as a technician. He worked on battery-electric, fuel cell-electric, and new age hybrid city buses.

Juan will be remembered for being a quiet, caring, and gentle soul who loved his friends and family. Even though he was very quiet and reserved, he made friends everywhere he went. He was well respected by anyone that knew him. Back in the 80’s he was a breakdancer in our older brother’s crew, Waukegan’s own” The Floor Jammers Breakdancing Crew”. Juan attended Warren Township High School and was in the wrestling team for many years.

Juan was a devoted family member and a loyal friend. He had a passion for cooking and was often asked by the family to make one of his signature dishes…chilaquiles or flautas. He enjoyed watching sports and especially enjoyed cheering for his beloved Chicago White Sox. His presence brought comfort, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him. May he rest in peace as he joins our beloved mother Rosa Perez in heaven. He will forever remain in our hearts.

Juan’s visitation will be held Thursday, February 12, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Chapel Funeral, 1521 Washington Street, Waukegan IL 60085.
