Julia M. Rodriguez

Our beloved mother Julia "Julita" Molina Rodriguez passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2018. Julia was born on July 18, 1923 in Villa de los Reyes, San Luis Potosi, Mexico. Married to Jose C. Rodriguez June 27, 1937 for 46 years. They lived in Gonzalez, Texas. She had a little store in the back of her house where she sold bread, sweets, candy, sodas, chips, and cold sandwiches.

In 1960 they moved to Waukegan, IL and became a United States citizen. She was employed at St. Therese Hospital for 19 years, and retired when her husband became ill and then she devoted every waking moment to him, until his passing.

She is survived by one brother Sixto Molina and her sister Gumesinda Benavides, and numerous nieces and nephews and cousin's Molina's in Gonzales, west Texas. Jose and Julia had 16 children, Joe (Sarah), John (Sharon), Jovita (Arnuflo) Perez, Julian (Latrica), Jerry (Irma), Carmen, Jorge (Debbie), Josephine Gutierrez, Emitiero (Aurora), Jane Vazquez and Margaret. They have 5 generations with a total of 145 grand and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her father Sixto Molina and mother Soledad Lagunas; 2 brother's Pedro and Elijo Molina; 1 sister Margaret Valadez; and her beloved husband Jose C. Rodriguez; their sons Jessie, Jacob, Jessie Joseph, Antonio and James (Carmen); their daughter Julie (Walter) Shultis; and grandchildren Elvira, Miguel, Michael "Big Mike" and Russell Rodriguez Jr.

Visitation for Julia will be held on Friday, November 30, 2018 at 10 am at Holy Family Church, 450 Keller Ave. Waukegan, IL 60085. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 am at the church.
