Libna A Torres

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Libna A Torres. Libna age 44 passed away on September 30, 2026.

Born on July 23, 1982, in San Ignacio, Belize. Libna created a life between Belize and the US. She has made meaningful relationships with people she has met along the way. In this life, her kids were everything to her. Libna Torres was mom, sister, friend, best friend, and so much more. She was a genuine person who did a lot for everybody and anybody. Libna would do so much for everyone, even when she had nothing herself. She liked the color green, she loved butterflies, and she absolutely loved food, especially her Belizean food. Libna loved being Belizean. She especially loved her chisme. Even though she is no longer here physically, her spirit will always and always be alive in our hearts because now she is flying like the butterfly she dreamed to be from when she was a little girl.

She is survived by her beloved children, Naib Torres, Lisa Lara, Giselle Torres Zan Torres, and Caleb Torres. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eustacia Chuc and Edward Torres. She is survived by her siblings Siloni Torres and Luis Torres. Her nieces Zari Flowers, Sandy Torres, Nayeli Torres and Leia Torres. Her nephew Eliacim Torres. Many tías, Tíos, and cherished cousins.

Libna A Torres memorial service will be held Friday, October 16 at 4pm at The Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1521 Washington St Waukegan, IL, 60085
