Lucila Monsivais de Villarreal Obituary (1935

Lucila Monsivais Villarreal passed away peacefully on Tuesday December 21st, 2016. She was surrounded by family around the clock, until God called her home. Lucila was a selfless and devoted mother, grandmother and wife. Her kindness, generosity and dedication to her family and her faith was known by all. Her commitment to family created the foundation upon which our family bond lies and will for future generations. She found great solace and comfort in her nightly reading of her Bible and regularly attended mass at Saint Anastasia Catholic Church until her illness no longer allowed her to attend. Lucila is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Marin Villarreal; her devoted children Manuela (Cesar) Gomez, Servando Villarreal, Paula Knutel, Marina McCawley, Gerardo (Violet) Villarreal, Betty (Marc Connor) Villarreal, Nely (Bradley) DeThorne and Diane Villarreal; her grandchildren Zaida(Paulino) Medina, Araceli (Israel) Solis, Nubia, Yesenia and Augusto Gomez, Matt and Jack Knutel, Brandon, Brett and Courtney McCawley, Vida and Luz Villarreal, Paige, Abigail and Chloe DeThorne and great grandchildren Neyla and Jayden Medina and Aneli, Areli and Eva Solis. Visitation will be held from 8:30 am to 10:00 am on Monday, December 26th at The Memorial Chapel of Waukegan, 1521 Washington St., Waukegan, IL. Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am at Saint Anastasia Church, 624 Douglas Avenue, Waukegan, IL to be followed by the burial ceremony at Warren Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Alzheimer's Association of greater Illinois.
