Luis Sanchez

It is with heavy hearts that we announce Luis “Wiso” Sanchez, 61, of Waukegan passed away on October 16th, 2026.

Luis was born on October 5th, 1965, in Waukegan IL to his mami and papi Sylvia and Miguel Sanchez.
He will be missed dearly by his children, parents, and many close friends and family.

Luis is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, aunt and brother Miguel Sanchez "Junior".

He is survived by his parents, Miguel Sanchez and Syliva Echevarria; children Selena, Yesenia Marisol, Luis Valentin Jr., and Kevin Livan, 9 grandchildren; aunts Carmen, Elba, Alba, Rosin, and Gerrardo Echevarria; many cousins, family and friends.

His visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22nd, 2026, from 5:00 - 9:00 PM at The Memorial Chapel of Waukegan, 1521 Washington st., Waukegan, IL, 60085. The final viewing will be held the following day Friday, October 23rd, 2026, from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at the funeral home before burial at Ascension Cemetery, 1920 Buckley Rd., Libertyville IL.

Luis nació el 5 de octubre de 1965 en Waukegan, IL, de sus padres Slyvia y Miguel Sánchez. Será profundamente extrañado por sus hijos, padres y muchos amigos y familiares cercanos.

Luis fue precedido en la muerte por sus abuelos maternos, su tía y su hermano Miguel Sánchez “Junior”.

Le sobreviven sus padres, Miguel Sánchez y Sylvia Echevarría; sus hijos Selena, Yesenia Marisol, Luis Valentín Jr. y Kevin Liván; 9 nietos; sus tías Carmen, Elba, Alba, Rosin y Gerrardo Echevarría; numerosos primos, familiares y amigos.

Su velatorio se llevará a cabo el jueves 22 de octubre de 2026, de 5:00 a 9:00 PM en The Memorial Chapel of Waukegan, 1521 Washington St., Waukegan, IL, 60085. La última visita se realizará al día siguiente, viernes 23 de octubre de 2026, de 11:00 AM a 1:00 PM en la funeraria antes del entierro en el Cementerio Ascension, 1920 Buckley Rd., Libertyville, IL.
