Theresa L. Dowe

Theresa L. Dowe, 58, of Waukegan, passed away on July 20, 2016 in Gurnee. Theresa was born January 2, 1958 to Richard and Minna Drinka in Waukegan.

Theresa is survived by her dear husband Kevin; adored son Kevin; mother Minna; siblings Tim (Kathy) Drinka, Richard Drinka, and Cindy (Maurice) Nixon. She is preceded in death by her father Richard Drinka and brother Thomas Drinka.

Terri was a lifelong resident of Waukegan and graduated from Waukegan Township High School. She worked for the Waukegan News Sun for 25 years and then had a second career at Edward Jones where she spent 17 years as a branch office administrator. She was a talented craft artist and an enthusiastic gardener. She never met anyone she didn’t like. Terri lived her life for her family and friends, and was a kind and generous soul. She will be missed by all.

Prayer service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday July 23, 2016 at The Memorial Chapel of Waukegan, 1521 Washington Street, Waukegan, Illinois 60085, with Father Adam Blatt officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations in her name may be made to the National Diabetes Foundation.
